Tioman Island Snorkeling Trip
I just realized that I have not been updating and there’s no post yet for May 2010
Here’a another underwater video taken with Lumix FT1. As usual, I am not a professional underwater photographer, so … please don’t complain.
I think Tioman will be my last snorkeling trip. After this, I am going deeper … with a tank on my back of course.

Great rundown, Azwan. Thanks!
Just two of the reasons we like Tioman? The endless jungle, the deafening silence.
Whenever we crave a hefty dose of rest and peaceful quiet or just some time away from the ever-present throngs, we just hop to Tioman.
Tioman boasts spectacular landscapes and seascapes that simply take our breath away.
Best of all, there are plenty of locations to take the kids to enjoy our favorite beach activities or any outdoors fun.
But, that said, I love visiting The East Coast of Malaysia too, especially when there’s no more ferry tockets left to Tioman
Seriously, the areas North and South of Mersing always have us coming back for more; Desaru, Air Papan, Tanjung Resang, all are stunning capes with lots of wilderness and plenty of opportunities for good old-fashioned fun in the sun.
Sailing, kite-surfing, windsurfing, stand up paddling, or just snorkeling, scuba diving or jungle-trekking. We’re loving it!
In fact, we recently set up our Malaysia Sea Sports outfit. It’s just north of Mersing, in Tanjung Resang.
Drop by some time?
Cheers.

I’ve never been to Tanjung Resang. Should plan a trip there. Is it kids friendly?
It’s very kids friendly actually. The beach slopes ever so gradually; you can walk into the sea quite far and it’ll barely reach your waist. Best of all, it’s sandy, no rocks, no sea urchins, stingrays or other critters. Oh, and no weird currents or riptides either, because it’s part of an enclosed bay.
And kids being kids, it’s good to know that you can always duck into the verandah for a nice meal and a refreshing drink.
But, well, since a picture says more than a thousand words, have a gander at this: http://www.malaysiaseasports.com/gallery3.jpg
