Keanu Reeves plays Klaatu, an alien whose arrival to planet earth is to destroy the human race for in order to save earth. The message is clear and simple, if the earth dies, you die. If the human race dies, the earth survives.

Klaatu starts off as an alien in a human body. As he spends time in the body and interacts with Dr. Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly) and her stepson (Jaden Smith), he starts to be affected by what he learn from the human character.

This is where the movie fails. Although there’s some suspense and some action in the movie, but the part where Klaatu’s experiences with the human and how he perceives the human character is not strong enough. Other than that; the robot, Gort, is cool.

Watch it if you have nothing else to do, but I think you would be better off with either CicakMan 2 or Los and Faun

p/s I really have nothing to do on Thursday night … so, I contacted the founder of InfoMalaya to watch this and then lepak at the nearest mamak shop outside Sunway Carnival after the movie.

If you have a WordPress Blog and have not heard about WordPress 2.7 “Coltrane” yet, then something must be wrong with you hah!

I have started the process to upgrade all my blogs. Completed one last night. I started with the one that uses the simplest theme and with the lowest number of plugins. I only have one reason – If anything goes wrong, it will be easier to fix. Luckily everything went smooth and the side is back online in 15 minutes.

How To Upgrade WordPress to Version 2.7?

If you are weak technically and prefer to upgrade quickly and smoothly, use the WordPress Automatic Upgrade Plugin. Just start the process and follow it step by step. Backup is important, don’t skip that part during the WAUP process. It’s included, so don’t worry.

Other than the UI that looks totally different, I noticed 2 things which I like when I edited a post after upgrade. The option to choose tags from the most popular tags like below, where you can just click on the tag you want to use.

Then, I also notice that, the discussion are now displayed when you edit an old post. You can do all sort of things there.

One thing that I am really happy with 2.7 is that they have incorporated the auto upgrade function into it :

I hope I didn’t confuse you with the title

Currently in Seberang Jaya, staying at Sunway Seberang Jaya. Was here since Monday and will be here until tomorrow. The last time I stayed at a hotel for official business was in July. That was in Ipoh. Compared to Excelsior Ipoh, Sunway Prai is much better. There’s broadband in the room

Although I am here for work, I always consider all outstation trip where I need to stay at a hotel for a few days as a paid holiday. Jalan-jalan Cari Makan on the company. At least this way I can make sure that the stress doesn’t build up due to the traveling, keeping with schedule, checking on work related emails and everything.

Lately, Petronas has been consistently having contests and the latest one is the Hot Car Cool Cash Promotion.

By just spending RM20 at any Petronas Station, you will automatically qualify for one entry. No contest forms required, you just need to use your credit card, debit card or charge card, Smart Pay or Kad Mesra. The contest ends 31 January 2009.

I have a better idea for the next contest, if they have plan for more.

Why not you ditch the BMW and the Honda Hybrid and all the other expensive cars and just give cash instead. Make them in smaller amounts with the max of RM50K and the min of RM1K. This way more people could win and there will be more happy people on the streets. In a way, this will make the roads safer. (Ha .. ha .. just ignore the one with happy, streets and safer )

Why not? Why not give more than restrict it to only 124 winner per month? Think of it, if more people are happy with Petronas, do you think they will visit other petrol stations anymore? In times like this, we need something that can cheer up the people.

Anyway, all winners of the Contest will be selected via a pre determined electronic selection system (subject to terms & conditions as determined by PETRONAS).

Me? Not in the mood to celebrate. Makan ok, ada rendang ayam, ada sup daging, aku bedal aje … but I was thinking about the people of Bukit Antarabangsa. I am sure they cant sleep, thinking about their properties and also what to do next, as the future looks bleak for them.

Luckily my sister’s house was not affected, but her condo she’s in the process to buy is affected. I hope she will cancel it. Talk to your lawyers and cancel it, better loose some money now than loose everything later. You can read her side of the bukit antarabangsa landslide tragedy story here.

Anyway, I am surprised to read this when i was going through the landslide news of Bukit Antarabangsa.

Now is not the time.
