Intel to close 2 Penang plants
Intel Malaysia, whose parent Intel Corp is the world’s largest chipmaker and facing its first quarterly loss in 21 years, will close two of its microchip plants on Penang island which employ more than 1,000 workers.
RAM: Budget deficit likely to surpass 5% for next two years
The country’s budget deficit is expected to surpass 5% for the next two to three years, as the government may need to pump more capital into the economy that is feared to be on the brink of recession, a chief economist said.
