My Traffic Secret: First 3 Steps To Increase Your Traffic

Having a niche blog is much easier, but you can do the same for a non niche blog. The example is Azwan.My :) You have seen how my traffic increased for the last 3 months.

You can use these 3 steps to increase your traffic:

  • Check your popular post. See which one is popular, decide whether it is worth to optimize further.
  • Study your traffic stats. Analyze the keywords that brought those traffic to your popular post. Check the long tail keywords used and compare with the words used in your posts.
  • Evaluate your posts again, and put in the right words.

It all goes down to SEO. Take some time to learn the basics. Offpage optimization will help you the most, but no point to do that if your onpage optimization is not good. Work on the onpage optimization first.

You can just Google for SEO, offpage and onpage optimization if you need the info now. However, I will also have some posts on it later … with examples.

Build your traffic, and you page rank or alexa rank will increase accordingly :)

    By the way, I’m using awstats, which is not too good I think.

    for a non-niche blog, this is the best way. build the traffic post by post :)

    No, but in some plugins it can be one of the criteria.
    it depends on the plugins you use, different plugins weigh the importance of each criteria differently. Some plugins even allow you to specify the weightage.

    Kau dah tahap Pro blogger. by posting more than 1 post a day, you dont really need to do optimization. Tapi kalau kau monetize the site .. ha.ha.. makin masyuk lah kalau dioptimizekan lagi.
