My First Notebook – Compaq Contura

Starting this Raya (belum raya lagi, dah cerita pasal raya :) ) Kuala Pilah is our official hometown. My in-laws, having sold their house in Taiping, have now moved to their new home in Kuala Pilah and we have been enjoying the trips there these two months for the durian and rambutan season :)

Anyway, while helping to unpack one day, I found the box of my first notebook. My mother in-law has used it to pack some of her things. This is the notebook that I used while I was studying at UUM, which is about 11 … 12 years ago. Yes, we got notebook back then :) and it’s quite light too, but it’s not as powerful as the ones in the current market.

I can only  remember that it was light brown in color and it was running on a 486DX Intel processor. Cant remember the RAM size or what actually happen to that notebook.  I used it mostly for my  C++ programming. If you ask me now, I don’t think I can remember how to code in C++ anymore although SAP’s ABAP has a lot of similarities.

    Only the box still exist. It is currently at Pilah in the store room.

    Notebook? tak pasti kat mana dah. Last sekali pinjam ialah abang ipar aku utk menaip surat.

    Pc pertama aku pun aku tak ingat sebab cap ayam. PC sekarang ni pun cap ayam jugak … hanya ada logo processor iaitu AMD Athlon X2
